This meeting with Albert and Greg was scheduled to pick up the built dozer and containers and hand over unbuilt kits, specifically the big Tamiya M1A2 and Hobby Boss M1070. This was also the first time the crack Daughter of God miniature team was coming together officially. I was looking forward to recording this meeting for the podcast, note taking and future making of footage. I had not fully prepared and so a full recording was not feasible, unfortunately.
I offered a bit of blue sky about the future of our collaboration and asked them both to think about what they eventually wanted - scenarios, skills, projects.
Currently, they are both working in less than idea conditions. Greg is airbrushing in his bathroom, and Albert in his living room, which he shares with family and dogs. VOCs are not possible in Greg's setup and a proper respirator is in Albert's future. Both of them are building in their bedrooms.
Considering the high quality of their builds, this is pretty amazing. Truly the stuff of indy movie legends.
We talked about eventually establishing a shared workshop space located between them for easy travel. They are both ok with sharing a space.
